The “Jaws of life” or the Hurst tool are used in car accidents that have crushed the doors and windows preventing someone from getting out naturally. I was in court last week and had an opportunity to watch an experienced trial lawyer cross-examine an expert doctor on the witness stand in a medical malpractice case. I was shocked to see the worst cross examination ever in my 21 years of practice.

The attorney could barely formulate a question. He asked open-ended questions, allowing the expert to explain away most answers.

The lawyer violated every rule of cross examination and gave up total control of this witness. I actually felt bad sitting in court watching this spectacle. Watch the video to learn why.

I was in court last week and listened to a closing argument while waiting for case of mine to be called for conference. After 10 minutes of listening to the defense attorney, I couldn’t figure out what he was talking about. When I went into the hall to speak to my adversary, I asked him what he thought of the defense attorney’s closing argument. He said the same thing I did.

I also had a chance to listen to the plaintiff’s closing argument as well. His remarks were just as bad as the defense attorney’s. Watch the video to learn who won the case.
